Rustic Treadam Barn Wedding in Wales
Treadam Barn near Abergavenny offers a quintessential rustic barn wedding venue.
It was the perfect follow on from the quaint Victoria Methodist Chapel near Pontypool.
Throw in a couple of sheep and two beautiful Russian blue cats and it’s a dream wedding.
They say never to work with children or animals, but as a wedding photographer, anything goes.
The bride, Megan wanted her two cats to be part of the big day and I don’t blame her they are beautiful.
I had photographed them in the studio previously which turned out to be very successful.
They kind of stole the show during bridal preparations with their matching ties in the wedding colours.
After the ceremony, we climbed the high mountains in the beautiful Welsh countryside.
Stopping at a lake which had incredible views, and a few authentic sheep.
They could overlook Treadam Barn where their wedding reception was being held and enjoy the first few moments of married life together.
Abergavenny and its surrounding areas are some of the most beautiful landscapes and right on my doorstep.
The rustic barn was decorated beautifully with wooden beams, chandeliers and rustic bunting.
It’s high ceilings held the handmade bunting perfectly and the chandeliers added a little sparkle.
Guests enjoyed the grounds with a hog roast, garden games, picnic food and a fun barn dance.
Megan and David’s pet cats featured on the wedding cake with a tailor made iced versions of themselves.
If they could bring themselves to eat them is a whole other question possibly opted for the personalised bride and groom cake topper instead.
The vast amount of pink cupcakes were a real hit with all the guests, especially the children.
With the long summer evening to explore the gardens for photographs we even found the resident cat up a tree.
He of course had to get in one of the couple photographs.
The evening continued with a live band which got the evening guests dancing the night away.
