It is an honour of photograph weddings for childhood friends, so I was delighted when Tom asked me.
After meeting his bride to be Jen I felt like I’d known them both for years.
Having already done a studio shoot of their baby, we were all set to capture their wedding at Clearwell Castle.
One of my favourite venues, Clearwell Castle is stunning and a dream to photograph.
For capturing the wedding preparations in the bridal suite the four poster bed is the perfect place to photograph the dresses, bouquets and details.
Jen’s breath-taking wedding dress was made up of layers and layers of billowing chiffon.
An ivory dress adorning the cutest flower girl with a perfectly matching pale yellow bridesmaid dress.
Jen made the button bouquets herself so these had a mini shoot to themselves.
She has started a business making and selling more bespoke button bouquets for other brides to be.
Including personalised heirloom pieces such as Jen’s grandmothers locket was a lovely touch.
Keeping fond memories close on such a family orientated day.
With Tom having all of the children to look after while running around collecting items while topless.
I delighted in capturing some fun moments.
He’s lucky really to have found his wedding outfit at all.
The ceremony room was stunning with high ceilings long windows and chandeliers.
Jen looked incredible as she made her way down the aisle to an emotional Tom.
It was typical British weather with bright sunshine and heavy downpours of rain.
Managing to avoid the showers for group photographs we even got lucky when it came to the bride and groom ones.
Bathing in beautiful soft evening sunshine
It was a nice opportunity for the newlyweds to spend five minutes and catch there breath.
They really enjoyed taking in the amazing gardens and views of their stunning wedding venue.
The couple chose an informal and relaxed buffet wedding breakfast.
With many of the guests having children this suited everyone.
(even me a little, as I joined the back of the queue)
During the speeches Jen’s father explained why he had given every guest a New Zealand five dollar bill on arrival.
As the day rolled into evening we headed down in the Cellar.
Clearwell Castles cool night time venue.
Jen and Tom had a romantic first dance a top a sparkly white dance floor.
As it was a warm summers evening we even got the chance to go back outside for a few more photos.
With twilight approaching we captured some dramatic looks with the stunning castle behind the couple.
The perfect way to capture a magical day.
